Forbes’ 2017 “World’s Billionaires” – Richest People in the World

Forbes Magazine Billionaire list for 2017, co-founder of Microsoft Bill Gates has seized the top spot of the world’s richest billionaires, worth $86 billion up from $75 billion last year.

The list of Forbes Billionaire is a snapshot of wealth using stock prices and exchange rates from February , 2017. In the year 2017, there was 2,043 people on the list of Forbes (233 more than last year’s count), including 195 newcomers, most of them are from China (76 Billionaire) and the U.S(56 Billionaire).; there were 56 people under 40 and it had a record number of 227 women.

There was 565 billionaires from U.S, while Greater China was catching up with 319 billionaires including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. In the list Germany with 114, Russia with 96 billionaires and India with 101, for the first time India reached over 100 billionaires.

There are 233 more than in 2017 with comparison of 2016, a rise of 13%, lifting the total wealth by 18% to $7.67 trillion smackers.

The top billionaires were no surprise: Bill Gates (worth $86 Billion), Warren Buffet ($75.6 Billion), Amazon‘s Jeff Bezos ($72.8 Billion), Zara‘s Amancio Ortega ($71.3 Billion) and Mark Zuckerberg ($56 Billion).

Alongwith co-founder of Microsoft Bill Gates, the founder of technology companies make up six of the world’s twenty richest people, including Facebook’s Zuckerberg, Amazon’s Bezos, Oracle Founder Larry Ellison and Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page.
